CONNECT

We want to communicate from the offset you are welcome. You are welcome wherever you are at right now, there is a place for you. Visitor, attendee, member, explorer, questioner, doubter.  You are welcome.

We have just started running a series of welcome lunches through the year where we gather straight after the church service and eat together and Thomas & Mhairi and some of the leaders will share the story of the church, where we are headed and how to get stuck in. These are a great opportunity to connect and get to know the church. Keep an eye on the ‘what’s on’ page for the next one to sign up for.

We really believe that everybody in the church gets to play. We are not designed to live in isolation but in community with everything picking up a piece. We are designed to serve one another in community. We are not designed to be alone. That is never Gods plan.

Yet we can very easily journey months, years, decades without real belonging in the church or in life. We can come on Sundays, we can meander through life when in the very core of who we are we long for belonging and connection. Because it’s how we are made. It’s how God first intended. We don’t need to look far to see the breakdown and retreat. Adam and Eve – when things get difficult, they withdraw, they retreat. What does it look like to truly belong? What can we do?

We shared a teaching series around this very topic and you might find it helpful as you navigate what does it look like to belong to Inverness Vineyard church? You can listen to it here.

We see 4 really key steps if you are new here to Inverness Vineyard and looking to belong:

  1. Come regularly on Sundays. You can get our latest gathering info here
  2. Join a life group
  3. Find a place to serve
  4. Give regularly

We have found that these steps really help in terms of meaningful connection and belonging to our church.
