We are so glad you stopped by, we are a church that was planted from a massive vision for 21 new churches for Scotland (click here for more info), and we would love to explore and journey with you whether you have been to church hundreds of times in the past or never been to church and explored faith. The vision of Inverness Vineyard Church is to be “a place where people come alive.” We believe that when people encounter Jesus, the adventure in life really begins. That we come alive and begin to step into an exciting future and the promise of eternal life spent with God, that impacts not only our lives but the life of the city. To do that we will try to keep these nine important values at the core of who we are and in everything we do:
RELEVANT // living a faith filled life in a way that people can relate to that is accessible whatever your background or experience of church or God.
FUN // church is to be fun and enjoyed! we don’t take ourselves seriously but we take god seriously.
THE HOLY SPIRIT // WE LOVE GODS PRESENCE TO HEAL, SAVE, AND SEE MIRACLES THAT ARE SO UNDENIABLY HIM, WE LOVE THAT HE invites US to partner IN HIS MISSION.
ADVENTURE // being a people who are bold, take risks and invite people to join IN WITH US at every opportunity.
worship // BEING A PEOPLE WHO SING SONGS TO GOD, NOT FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN BUT TO REMIND US AFRESH OF HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US.
THE BIBLE // we believe in the power and authority of the bible and we will teach from it regularly, it’s as relevant today as it’s ever been.
FAMILY // we want people to not just be part of a crowd but part of a life giving, honest, real community. there is a place for everybody.
SERVE // We will be a group of people passionate and deliberate about loving and serving our city, the NATION AND THE NATIONS.
GENEROSITY // A people generous with our time, money and energy. we are a people who look at what is in our hands and how it can be used.
Our Pastors: Thomas & Mhairi Urquhart
Thomas & Mhairi are the pastors of Inverness Vineyard Church. Before moving to Inverness in September 2017, they lived in Aberdeen for the last 11 years, being part of Catalyst Vineyard in Aberdeen firstly as youth pastors and then leading Catalyst Vineyard Ellon, 15 miles north of Aberdeen for 4 years.
