MISSION

As a church we want to be a group of people who are passionate about mission,  joining in and supporting what is going on in the city of Inverness and further afield. With that in mind, we have committed to giving 15% of our churches income to mission, both local and international.

We have 4 mission partners at the moment, take a read here who they are and why we give to them:

LOCAL: GATEWAY (Formerly Highland Homeless Trust) – Gateway do fantastic work in the city of Inverness, supporting the most vulnerable and in need in our city in practical ways, such as supported and crisis accommodation and emergency food and meals programme through the winter months. We have volunteered and supported them as a church a number of times in the year since we have started, and we want to support the work they do. We are excited by future opportunities to serve them and join in making a difference and bringing hope to peoples lives in Inverness.

NATIONAL: HOME FOR GOOD – In June we committed to giving to Home for Good , a UK based charity. Every year 40000 children and young people come into care in the UK. Home for Goods heart is to want every child to have a stable and loving home where they can thrive. They are growing their presence in Scotland we would love to be a church where our family foster and adopt those children in need.

INTERNATIONAL: KIDS CLUB KAMPALA – The aim of Kids Club Kampala is to bring hope and love to vulnerable children and to transform poor communities in Uganda, reaching over 4000 children and their families each week. They do this in lots of practical ways such as kids Clubs, education and school sponsorships, supporting basic needs such as food and clothing and also many focused projects such as the Ewafe project which supports children who have been abandoned in the slums of Kampala. We feel honoured to support such a brilliant charity and excited to hear what they will continue to do and how we can partner practically in the coming years.

VCUKI: (Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland): Our UK and Ireland movement has mission at its heart. Its partners with churches nationally, supporting them with resources and events to empower and see Jesus shared in their locality, as well as focused international partners whose heart is to share the love of Jesus in the most challenging of places. It is also  developing church planting as we look to be churches that plant churches in other towns and cities in the UK and beyond.
