Frequently Asked Questions:

Will the van be used for storing equipment as well? We are currently in discussions with the school about other options of storage which we hope will mean no connection to the “I HOPE” van. It is not our long term plan to have church equipment in this van.

I want to just give a one off gift – can I do that? Absolutely! It may be you have a one off sum that you feel led to give. You have the option to pledge this on our pledge cards.

Will we still support Highland Foodbank? Yes – We want to provide a more strategic link up to all that is available throughout the city so we will definitely be signposting people to their brilliant work and looking to help when we can. As we would be an inroad to more support for families around where we meet as a church, we hope that we all signpost each other to one another so there are many organisations loving and helping the struggling in our city.

I am not part of Inverness Vineyard – can I still give to this vision? Absolutely, if you feel led to give to the vision we would be incredibly grateful! The easiest way would be through our giving page on our website here if you can’t physically be with us on the 23rd Feb to bring a pledge card.

I won’t be there on the 23rd Feb – how can I get my pledge card to you? The easiest way would be to email the church with your pledge on thereismore@invernessvineyard.co.uk in time for the 23rd so we have the majority of pledges all given together.

What if we give less/more against the target as a church? If we give less this will restrict and impact the vision God has given us and we implement next steps will be revisited. Should we give more, this is will allow even more around this vision to be done quicker in and around the city.

I fill out my pledge card and give it in – what next? On the Monday morning Thomas and Mhairi will collate all the pledge cards and an email will be sent out to all who pledged with next steps in terms of starting their pledge amount via our online giving platform CAF (Charities Aid Foundation). We would ask that this is set up as soon as you have received the email so we can start budgeting for March 2020.

What prayer events will run through the 2 weeks? This will form part of the next 2 weeks notices, here is the plan.

– 2 early morning prayer walks on the 12th and 19th February, 6.30am at Costa.

– PRESS IN prayer and worship evening on the 16th February at Thomas & Mhairis House, 7.30-9pm.

– We will have a 24 hour prayer event over the dates Friday 14th- Saturday 15th (SIGN UP HERE) and Friday 21st – Saturday 22nd. (SIGN UP HERE)

I am only here for a year in Inverness because of my job or studies… That’s great! Then please invest your time, money and energy while you are here. When it’s time for you to leave you might want to let us know concerning your giving and what you plan to do.

What will happen on the middle Sunday (16th)? We plan to have a Sunday service as normal.

When will everything proposed happen? Following pledges coming through and giving started, the next few months will be about crunching the numbers and putting wheels in motion with what we have. We would envisage some of the exciting developments to be visible and being birthed in the following 2 months.

How does Gift Aid work? If you are a UK tax payer you may gift aid you pledge which will give us an extra 25p to every £1 given. Our target amount takes this into account so it’s vital you add gift aid on our online giving page if you are eligible to do so.

Will anyone else know what I am giving? No, the only individuals that know are Thomas & Mhairi. No other staff or leaders within the church know this information.
